Production Templates

Give Your Clients the Right Starting Point.

Templates That Prevent Production Delays

File issues are the number one cause of production delays on trade orders. Incorrect dimensions, missing bleed, RGB color mode, low-resolution images — each one triggers a prepress hold that adds time to your client's order and makes your timeline estimates look unreliable.

Our production templates eliminate these issues at the source. Every template is pre-configured with the exact document dimensions, 0.125-inch bleed on all four sides, clearly marked safety margins, and CMYK color space. When your client's designer starts from our template, the file is structurally correct from the first keystroke.

The professional move: distribute these templates to every client and design partner you work with. Make it part of your onboarding. "Here are the templates we use — start every project from one of these and your file will pass prepress on the first submission." That single instruction saves hours of back-and-forth across dozens of orders.

Templates for Every Product

We provide templates for all standard products and sizes: business cards (3.5 x 2), postcards (4 x 6, 5 x 7, 6 x 9), flyers (4.25 x 5.5, 5.5 x 8.5, 8.5 x 11), brochures (8.5 x 11 tri-fold, 8.5 x 14 tri-fold), and door hangers (3.5 x 8.5, 4.25 x 11).

Each template includes labeled guides for the bleed edge, trim line, and safety margin. Available in Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Photoshop (.psd), and PDF formats. The PDF serves as a reference for designers using Canva, Figma, or any other tool — match the dimensions and margin positions.

Templates are brand-neutral. They carry no Print Brokers Inc branding. Your client can open them without seeing our identity — fully consistent with our white-label approach. They are production tools, not marketing pieces.

Best Practices for Broker File Workflows

The most efficient brokers standardize their file intake process. Here is the workflow that minimizes prepress issues and maximizes throughput.

Step one: send your client the template for the product they are ordering. Include a link to our file guidelines page as a reference.

Step two: when the client submits their design, run a quick quality check. Is the file PDF? Is it CMYK? Are images sharp or do they look pixelated on screen? Is there content extending into the bleed area? Does text sit inside the safety margin?

Step three: upload through your broker dashboard. Our prepress team performs a complimentary review and flags any remaining issues. Clean files move to production immediately.

This three-step workflow catches 95 percent of file issues before they reach production. The result: fewer delays, more accurate timelines, and a professional experience for your client.
