Print and Mail at Trade Pricing

Add print-and-mail fulfillment to your service menu. We print, prep, and mail — your client sees only your brand and your invoice.

Print-and-Mail as a High-Margin Service

Direct mail is a service many of your clients need but few know how to execute. The logistics — printing, list processing, postal compliance, bundling, drop-off — are complex enough that most businesses either skip direct mail entirely or pay a premium to someone who handles it.

That someone should be you.

Print Brokers Inc handles the production and fulfillment at trade pricing. You handle the client relationship and the markup. Your client gets a turnkey mailing campaign. You get a high-margin service line that differentiates your brokerage from competitors who only sell print.

The margins on print-and-mail are substantial because the perceived complexity is high. Your client sees a complete service — design consultation, printing, mailing list management, postal delivery — and values it accordingly. Your actual effort is submitting the file, the list, and the route selections through our platform. We handle everything else.

EDDM at Wholesale

Every Door Direct Mail is the simplest mailing program for brokers to sell. No mailing list needed. No address formatting. No data processing. The client chooses geographic areas and every household on those postal routes receives the mailer.

At trade pricing, your cost per piece on EDDM is significantly below what the client would pay through any consumer-facing service. The postage is standardized by USPS, but the printing and preparation costs are where your margin lives.

Selling EDDM to clients: position it as a neighborhood saturation tool. "We can put your flyer in every mailbox within a 3-mile radius of your location." For restaurants, service businesses, real estate offices, and retail stores, this is an immediately understandable value proposition.

Our EDDM products are pre-sized to meet USPS requirements. The client selects their target routes using the USPS EDDM mapping tool (or you select routes for them as part of your service). We print, bundle per route, prepare postal paperwork, and drop at the post office.

Addressed Mail Fulfillment

For clients with customer databases, membership lists, or purchased mailing lists, addressed mail delivers personalized pieces directly to specific recipients. Response rates are higher than EDDM because the piece arrives with the recipient's name — it feels intentional rather than bulk.

As a broker, addressed mail is a higher-value service with more touchpoints (list management, variable data, postal optimization) and therefore higher justifiable fees. Many of your clients will provide raw lists that need cleaning, formatting, and CASS certification. We handle all of that through USPS address verification during processing.

Upload the client's list in CSV or Excel format along with the design file. We process the list, print the pieces with address data, presort for maximum postage discounts, and drop to USPS. The client receives tracking confirmation and you receive production reporting for your records.

Postage discounts from presorting are significant — 30 to 50 percent below retail postage rates. These discounts are available only through volume mailers like us. Pass a portion of the savings to your client as a competitive advantage, and retain the rest as margin.

Mailing Panel and Design Requirements

Mailed pieces require a mailing panel — a designated area for the address block, Intelligent Mail barcode, and postal indicia. The panel must be on a white or very light background with no competing text or imagery.

Our file guidelines include mailing panel templates for every product size. Share these with your client's designer at the start of every mailing project. Correct mailing panel placement prevents production holds and postal rejections.

EDDM pieces have specific USPS size minimums — 6.125 x 11 inches for flat-rate classification. Our EDDM products meet these requirements automatically. Addressed mail pieces have additional requirements for barcode clearance zones and address block positioning, all detailed in the templates.

Building Your Mailing Service Practice

Direct mail is a recurring revenue stream. Restaurants mail seasonal promotions. Real estate agents mail just-listed and just-sold cards. Nonprofits mail fundraising appeals. Political campaigns mail voter outreach. Once you demonstrate the ability to manage a complete print-and-mail campaign for a client, they come back.

Start by offering EDDM to your existing print clients. "You are already printing 5,000 flyers for distribution. For an additional cost per piece, we can mail them directly to every household in your target area instead of you handing them out." This is an easy upsell because the client already has the design and the intent — you are just adding the delivery method.

For new client acquisition, lead with the full-service pitch. "We handle the printing, the mailing list, the postal compliance, and the delivery. You provide the design and the target area. That is it." The simplicity of the offer is what closes deals with time-strapped business owners.
